Dr. Sharon Zuckerman (PhD 2003) is a member of the research group "Archaeologies of Memory".  She is a senior lecturer at the Institute of Archaeology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and since 2006 the co-director (together with Prof. Amnon Ben-Tor) of the Selz Foundation Hazor Excavations in Memory of Yigael Yadin.

Her research interests include the Bronze Age in the southern Levant, interconnections in the eastern Mediterranean during the 3rd and the 2nd millennia B.C. and the archaeology of cult and ritual. She has initiated several  research-  and publication projects dealing with these issues, including A Study of Aegean/Levantine Trade Patterns in the Late Bronze Age: Provenancing Imported Mycenaean Pottery from Canaan by Neutron Activation Analysis;  The Middle Bronze Age Cultic Precinct in Nahariya: Final publication of the Ben-Dor  and Dothan excavations (1947, 1954-5); and The Rise and Decline of a Canaanite Kingdom: A view from the Lower City of Hazor. She published several articles and presented  conference papers on these subjects.
